yes, I had already worked with reiserfs version 3 (ofcourse i didnnot
recompile kernel) and the performance is quite good for small files as
against ext3.
Do you have any benchmarks available that shows reiserfs to perform
better than ext3 in RHEL 4?

i would say that reiserfs is a ultimate failure ....... and not much
prefered by most of the modern distribution
only suse seems to stick on with that ...
