The most annoying limitation with ext2/3, that is not in reiser,
is that you don't need to specify the max number of inodes during
fs creation. Reiser is also more forgiving towards fs blocksize
settings. You don't need to tweak knobs in reiser to produce
acceptable performance for almost all kinds of workloads.
For that matter, Solaris' ZFS looks most promising.
