I dont agree to this. Can you learn VC++ and its technologies in a
day!...Oh
My!..Please dont give statements that are not correct. Like GNU/Linux,
Microsoft is also strong in its Development Platform. Dont think its too
easy to master Microsoft Development Platform.I am able to tell this becoz,
am a Windows Developer as well GNU/Linux enthusiast.
so doesnt make it a hard deal for the kerala students.
Well, that you will know when they are exposed to the MS world !
This is a general misconception of new entrants into FOSS. They think,
we are anti-M$ which is not true to even .1%. We just want them to be a
bit ethical by not using Windows w/o paying for them. If they are going
to get a legal copy, who raises objection. And, additionally our second
proposal which leads to this miss conception is "why buy a proprietary
software when a free software is available". And they take this to be
anti-XXXX somehow. I have observed this in many people, esp students who
are just getting to know about FOSS and GNU/Linux and who start thinking
anti-M$ is a way to become a true tuxian or a FOSSian. This makes pro-M$
people, to take the exact opposite and start bashing FOSS. Only, when
this misconception is ended and both M$ and FOSS are put on an equal
arena to play their own games and compete in an healthy way, we will see
a more healthier software environment around us and will be spending
better of our time for things other than flaming ourselves.
