Don't know about others, but I don't think this is right. This will
create a students-community with almost zero-MS knowledge and when
they go out looking for jobs, they are going to have problems.
Pushing students out with FOSS knowledge into an MS world is bound to
create problems.
I totally agree.A student needs to be educated with every technology out
there. Today, OSS is not in the syllabus, so we should see that Govt. puts
them in, but not by removing M$. Which student will refuse job given to him
in a Big Company here in India ?
Today, many look to get into top 5 companies and unfortunately, they are all
into M$ projects. However, there are also good OSS companies but today
students have no exposure towards OSS since it is not there in their
syllabus.
I would say, If Kerala Govt. is totally removing M$ syllabus from the
curriculum, they are doing a BIG Mistake. Instead,they could include both
OSS and M$ subjects equally.
