I dont agree to this. Can you learn VC++ and its technologies in a
day!...Oh
My!..Please dont give statements that are not correct. Like GNU/Linux,
Microsoft is also strong in its Development Platform. Dont think its too
easy to master Microsoft Development Platform.I am able to tell this
am a Windows Developer as well GNU/Linux enthusiast.
so doesnt make it a hard deal for the kerala students.
Well, that you will know when they are exposed to the MS world !
if you know c++ good enough and can handle the complexiities of its
implementation , yes vc++ is easy , mfc and other stuff gets trivial , it
indeed is , i know a lot of ppl who learned enough vc++ in a very short
span
of maybe a week , and one being myself .and when we say microsoft product
,
i meant the basic os , i dont know any engineering college where they
teach
vc++ even in tamil nadu , though we dont use foss :) so even if kerala
didnt
have the policy of complete foss , chances of teaching vc++ is very low .
Well, when one says Windows Programming, you should be geared towards
learning VC++ - the Windows way , which I see many dont. I have taken many
seminars and classes and once I go deep into explaining what MFC generated
code does, they stop me and ask, why to learn those internals!. I am not
sure of other courses and colleges, but when I did my PG at Amrita-CBE, we
had many works done with VC++
Anyway, why to discuss about VC++ here in this list :)
Antano, if necessary, we can continue outside mailing list :))
