Perhaps I'm mistaken, but isn't youtube-dl working in Haiku?    Perhaps even 
mps-youtube? (if not, I'm sure mps would be easy to port).

Doesn't solve the Netflix problem, but it might work better than webpositive by 
streaming youtube to your favorite native media player.
