Please file a bug report at BerliOS, then, it's nothing we can do
something about ourselves.

That sounds indeed very very wrong. Looks like Haiku runs pretty bad on
that system; can you post a "listdev" from it? Would be interesting to
see why that is, and if there is some hardware that needs work-arounds
we currently not do.
In any case "DMA mode: 0x00" doesn't sound right, but maybe it's just a
problem of reporting. Have you tried using Michaels new ATA bus manager
yet?
