Read some history. You only get peace when the expected price of theft,
rape, and murder is too high. There will always be someone who is
willing to hit you over the head and take what they want so long as they
think they can get away with it. Only the threat of violent resistance
stops those people. The ability, and willingness, to use force is the
only thing that allows peace to happen.

If given the choice between peace and freedom. I take freedom.
