Why is Luxury Blue special? How does it differ from other blues you have used and enjoyed?

Oh, this is about ink too, is it? Well, then....

One Sailor Magellan is filled with Noodler's Luxury Blue, the other with
Swisher/Noodler's Maroon. Luxury Blue is also in my Hamilton- Broadwell
signature pen. Pelikan M800 has Swisher/Noodler's Blue-Black.

Luxury Blue has been my favorite blue ink since the first time I saw it.

Seems like, no matter which pens are in my official "rotation," I'm almost always using a Sailor Magellan w/ XF nib for routine writing, and either my Mottishawed Pelikan M800 or my new Hamilton-Broadwell (flexible XF by Richard Binder) for signatures and more formal stuff.

Sometimes I look at the pens I'm actually using and think it is kind of odd.

Today I have used a Montblac 149 with a fine firm nib
(usually not my choice of favorites), a Waterman 7 Pink, and
my oblique pen holder with a Deleter G-pen nib. I have
written a couple of "Thanks" notes (Waterman), addressed 60
envelopes (oblique pen holder), and made notations in 7-8
charts (Montblanc). Seems like and odd collection of pens to
be using in one day especially when I have a Parker
Challenger with a warranted music nib and a PFM with a broad
point with me.

How about you? What are you using today?

Steve
