Kashif, The smon_log file feature was added at I/A version 6.2. If you use the legacy historian the system monitor messages are stored in Informix. So you could try using isql to retrieve them. Create an sql file with your query in. SPARE# more sr.sql select * from sysmonmsg; run the sql file into isql isql hist01 sr.sql NOTES: hist01 should be replaced with the name of your historian. The Informix path and Informixdir should be set. I have just read Helpful Hint 1000. That provides a better answer than me. Take a look at that on the ips website. http://support.ips.invensys.com/content/hh/hh1000.htm Sean -----Original Message----- From: foxboro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:foxboro-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Kashif Ijaz Sent: Monday, 21 January 2008 8:53 PM To: foxboro@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [foxboro] smon_log file not recording error messages I am facing some FBM faults .
