Have you attempted to boot the CP's from an empty checkpoint file?
***** I do not know how to do that if I cannot get access to the
ICC/CP/Maintenance/Initialize? I just push the CP reset button or pull/push
the CP. In that case it automatically boots from the latest file. How can
I " boot the CP's from an empty checkpoint file"?
Is sysmon running yet, as messages could give us insight to boot issues.

That is exactly what I thought about earlier this afternoon and since I had
created a temporary 1X8 it was not terminated. I already abandoned that
approach but I had the jumpers installed so I may retry tomorrow, did not
have time today. I have to redo some things and re-copy the checkpoint
files to the new host. Maybe tomorrow...

Is your nodebus terminated ? The CPs will never boot without a terminated
nodebus !

Folks,[ Joseph M. Riccardi ] I did not see my copy back so I am
guessing I hit the file size limit. Trying again...
I appreciate all of the help with this misadventure but it is time for me to
back out of it. At Russ' suggestion, last night I ran ds_stasict on all CPs
and those files contain data although I am not sure if they are correct,
sort of cryptic data. It seems to me that all of the required files are
good but the system lacks communications from the AW70 to the CPs. Since I
just recently replaced a NIC on another AW70, I am starting to suspect a
hardware problem. Before I disassemble this mess, is there any sort of
ping-type command that would check the hardware communications from the AW70
to the CPs?
