When I translate to braille and I try the alt 7 it beeps at me, none of the
keystrokes work, I even reinstalled my DBT 10.5, is there some other
suggestions?

might also be of assistance in the future. You should translate the document
to the Braille format.

to hear the current style press Alt+8
to hear the current location press Alt+9
to hear the current document name press
to toggle use of translated line on or off for up and down in braille press
Alt+U
to toggle announcing of style change on or off press Alt+I
to toggle on or off braille character echo for braille keyboard entry press
to toggle between JAWS cursor on translated line and PC cursor press
