My quote in my earlier email was shared with this group because of what my
colleague said about experience.
In other words experience matters. And I see that as directly related to
constellation work where we often see experience embodied. As examples the
experience of a representative in a constellation or the experience of a
healing movement for the client. Computers can give us lots of information,
but they can not give us a response to embodied experiences.
I see the body as a machine, but if it weren't for language to communicate the
embodied experience much of what we do in constellation would never happen.

Dear Ellen and All,
Of course people are insecure and afraid. We cling to hopes, dreams and
ideals.
The idea of unlimited human power, safety and invulnerability may appeal to
many of us. However even a moment of reflection will reveal that the human
form/being is subject to the same fate and flow as all other
formations/beings in this universe.
As I am having some degree of difficulty predicting the future I find it
perplexing that academics whose expertise are building smart computers
could make categorical statements about how machines will evolve.
To me it is all a matter of complexity in functioning. A 100 years ago most
people could not even conceive a washing machine let alone mapping the
human genome. So to me the pace of change is enormous and from a
consciousness / constellation point of view I like to put my seatbelt on
for the ride.
Best regards,
Robert

Kenn, I absolutely agree with your observation about healing the soul with
either Constellation work and Shamanism.
On technology. An academic colleague of mine whose expertise is building
smart computers was asked if they would ever be able to build a computer as
smart as as the human brain. His answer was, "No, because computers don't
ever experience life." Our body does experience and therefore we are
smarter that any smart computer.
