Our body does experience and therefore we are smarter that any smart computer.
We may well get to bionic beings animated by both genes and circuits, but with
so much circuitry that they seem more like machines than people.
It may be that for some "human beings" the body and personality (maybe the
soul) would be more like our current neurological system seems to be, with the
capacity to access vibrant, relevant information from everywhere (e.g. remote
sensing, constellation representing) and from all times (e.g. "past lives")
without being bound to time and place and skin package. For them, the
"personal" existence as a "person" amid the field(s) of life and consciousness
might look different from those quaint 20th-century people whose lives were so
entangled with wombs and nuclear families.
And all this could happen during the lifetimes of many of us.

NOTE TO ALL:
It would be convenient if you could clip the past messages you are quoting in
your email down to the passage or message(s) you are actually responding to.
In my threaded email client program, I have to scroll through some messages in
this "machine" thread that are each a couple of feet long!
Thanks.
