It really has become much more simpler than a few years ago. Back a few years ago you had to jumper the correct CPU voltage and speed as well as many other things. Now days, most of that is automatically detected and taken care of by the motherboard. About the only jumpering to be done now days is for functions like wake on LAN and such. -----Original Message----- From: computertalkshop-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:computertalkshop-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of CRAZYDOVE@xxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, July 30, 2005 12:44 PM To: computertalkshop@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [CTS] Re: Joe/Screensaver Ok..so the CPU is easy..if RUSS can do it..I can too..right?!!! BUT replacing a motherboard............aaaaargh! All those jumpers..and being careful NOT to shortout the MB..yikes!!!!!!! I was crawling around the web after posting this reply and it seems that those older CPUs have taken a price hike since I bought these. All you can do is try........... si ?
