I wouldn't carry a calculator with me, anyway.
If the bookport had a even basic calculator though you wouldn't have to carry one with you along with the bookport. Reasons for not including features should only be related to additional cost or resources or increase of size, of which the calculator would have no effect on any of these.

This is my opinion, and I'm not putting anyone down for thinking differently. I don't like the calculator idea at all. Talking calculators are relatively inexpensive.
