Yep, things go a lot more smoothly if we abide by the general outlines given on the list. Remember what happened to Evoice a few years ago when we were asked to refrain from abusing privileges and we didn't? It's history.

If new ideas were not introduced you would never see change in anything. What if noone had ever made any changes to the original record player. So long as people respect others suggestions then there is no better place than a beta list for discussion of ideas for new features. But, it is a real drag on product development when members of the team are opposed to the free flow of suggestions for new features.

I say, just like Larry, if you have a new idea put it out there, and let the development team decide whether it is something that can be done, and can be done without causing problems with current functions of the unit.

: Yes. Actually, I have been seeing that a lot lately, too. I may just as well
: unsubscribe, because some people can be real put-downers, saying that
: technology is not good enough or something, and everything goes out of
: control just like they are now. I like suggestions. They are nice. But when
: somebody starts flaming and saying that that suggestion is dumb and that the
: book port was not designed for that kind of thing, I begin to wonder why?
: Technology is there, and eventually it could probably be done. Well if this
: persists I'm unsubscribing pronto...
