Wouldn't a line-out jack save valuable reaestate on the device and allow
people to plug it into speaker systems of their choosing?

: Hi Larry,
:
: My wife and I have put off purchasing the Bookport for one major reason:
we
: strongly object to Doubletalk as a speech system. If Bookport came
equipped
: with a more modern voice synthesizer such as Eloquence, we would probably
: buy the unit within the week. We also agree with those in the group who
: prefer to have a speaker on board for the times we want some relief from
: those irritating headpones. All the other changes you have offered as
: suggestions here would be significant improvements and would be considered
: icing on the cake in our opinion.
