I'm actually a big double talk fan. I remember the first time I heard it, it was back when I was in high school. My school had an apple 2 gs, and a copy of apple works. The only speech I had heard up until then was echo, and the SSI263 synths, such as artic and the accent. I thought the double talk was a big improvement over those, and I've liked it ever since. When I had a computer with isa slots, I always used the doubletalk pc. I've thought about getting a triple talk since computers don't use isa slots anymore. ----- Original Message ----- From: "albert griffith" <albertgriffith@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, April 13, 2005 4:21 AM Subject: [bookport] Re: Upgrades: Hardware and Firmware > My problem with double talk has allot to do with its rhythm or cadence. > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Sandy Licht" <slicht@xxxxxxxxx> > To: <bookport@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Wednesday, April 13, 2005 1:02 AM > Subject: [bookport] Re: Upgrades: Hardware and Firmware > > > : That is for sure. > : > : At 11:26 PM 4/12/2005, you wrote: > : > : >I love them both! > : >But, Eloquence is definately a big step up from DoubleTalk. > : > > : > > : >ronsmith@xxxxxxxx > : > > : >On Tue, 12 Apr 2005, Mary Otten wrote: > : > > : > > Regarding the idea of making Eloquence the speech for the bookport, > : > obviously, different people like different speech synths.
