David, good that you use Braille, no how to spell it, and you and many other blind persons find it useful.

I do use it for labeling things and that's about all.
Back in 19 46 at the Texas prison for the blind they attempted to instruct me in the fine art of reading and writing brail but, I didn't have the where with all to learn. How ever my life has stumbled along pretty well in spite of my Braille deficit situation. On the other hand, , I have observed that most of the really successful blind persons I've had the privilege to interview are Braille readers and use it on a daily bases.

Hi Phil and list:

That's Braille B r a i l l e. Whenever you want to start learning, it is easy. A complete table of all the dot combinations is included in Appendix C of the bookport manual. Braille can be useful everywhere and in any light. Please consider learning it. I don't know if you're sighted or blind but it really doesn't matter. It may have been invented initially for blind people but everyone can benefit from it, unlike some government programmes, etc. I'm not joking.

Cheers,
Dave

I bought an Olympus one gig recorder/player. It plays windows media
files, audible files, and comes with stereo mikes. Besides that, all
functions are spoken in a clear voice. Cost, 260$, a bargain I think.
   I rest my case.
