I would certainly think so, depending on what type of speaker you had in
mind.  All I am looking for is something small, but with decent quality.  If
you take a look at many of the Nextel cell phones or some of the other
brands of cell or cordless phones with speaker phones built-in, you will see
what it is I have in mind.  A good sounding speaker can fit for example
under the belt clip.  I have a very small Unidine cordless phone that has a
speaker under the belt clip and it sounds surprisingly good.
