The TNAUK files use ++ signs between articles. They produce a UK tv/radio
listings file which when loaded into word or Wordpad looks pretty much like
a long file. Springer Design together with TNAUK have designed a filter for
the Bookcourier. When the tv listings file is loaded into the bookcourier it
looks more like a daisy structured file. You can move between different
levels, e.g. days of the week, channels and individual programmes. It's very
easy to navigate through and quickly find the day, channel and times of
programmes. Having just bought a Bookport, this is the only feature that I
miss as I previously had a Bookcourier. If such a filter could be designed
for the Bookport then together with the search facility this would be an
excellent way to read TNAUK's files. They also produce a wide range of
newspapers and magazines all with the same structure on a daily, weekly and
monthly basis.
I think they are not sure how many of their subscribers own a bookport
rather than a bookcourier.
Hope this helps
Hi,
You can get some navigation sense using the markers in the transfer tool. I set mine as using the # character as a section marker. Ok it is a bit fiddly with the index page but you can navigate alright after then. Doesn't really work with the tv listings all that well though.

The BookPort has a locking feature. Press 1 and 3 together and the unit will not respond to key presses.

TNA UK - Talking Newspapers Association of UK
Provides daily/ weekly newspapers and magzines specialising in a wide variety of subjects by email to people who are blind, throughout the UK. While we can copy this onto bookport we are not able to move from article to article like the Courier users are.
Is there any ability to solve this problem?
Why does the courier proform better than the bookport when they are such similar devices?
Also I would like to suggest that like many pocket digital recoirders that future bookports should have a switch on the side so you can turn it off and the keys dont get accidently pressed in your pocket.
