Must confess I don't know what an SD card is, how does it differ from the
current card which is used in the unit?

I would like to suggest that any new BookPort have two memory slots: one cf
card slot, and a second port for sd cards. The problem is that there are
probably more devices coming out today with SD cards than CF, and I wonder
if the CF card may be coming toward the end of its' life cycle.
