In my opinion, there are enough devices out there that uses CF cards so
there won't be any problem with stores keeping them in stock, sort of like
3.5 inch floppy disks. Many new computers don't have floppy drives anymore,
and fewer people are using them. However, floppies can be bought in any
store carrying computer accessories.

The other fear you may have is the less popular cf cards get the less likely
some stores will keep them in stock.

I wouldn't even complain too much if the next BP used only SD cards.Becauseso.these are rapidly becoming the standard card for digital cameras, I think that they'll be the default memory card within another year or two.
The argument that CF cards will continue to get cheaper may no longer becfI've tracked CF card prices for a long, long time and they seem to have flattened out over the past year or so after a pretty steady decline the previous couple of years.

I would like to suggest that any new BookPort have two memory slots: onecard slot, and a second port for sd cards. The problem is that there are
probably more devices coming out today with SD cards than CF, and I wonder
if the CF card may be coming toward the end of its' life cycle.
