The clip clearly has a cutout on its inside; the side nearest the case;
for a belt. It's not tight enough to be secure when clipped to anything
thin, such as clothing. I've used it on a belt, but encountered some
problems which, as someone else pointed out, are almost certainly due
more to the shape of the device than to any inherent defect in the clip.

As far as I'm aware the clip is actually intended to be fastened to a
pocket=20
or an edge of clothing, but not a belt.  This is the way I find more
secure,=20
anyway.
