When downloading a periodical, it is definitely better to get the Daisy version. That way, you get navigation points from article to article. Same thing with the Oreilley books. The rest of the material in the collection, however, is not very structured, and it is much better to do the brf version because it is smaller and faster to download. Plus, you can queue brf books. This makes for a really cool way to associate your .bks extension with the unpack tool. When you download, tell Internet Explorer to always open bks files. Then, you don't have to tell IE where to store it. IE just opens the unpack tool as soon as you click the link. Next, when the unpack tool asks you to open the book, do it, and the Book Port transfer tool will queue it up so the next time you connect, all those brf books are ready to transfer. >>> pietruk@xxxxxxxxx Friday, February 18, 2005 6:31:02 AM >>> When downloading a BookShare book or newspaper for reading on the Book Port, is one better off downloading the .brf Braille Grade 2 or Daisy version? Or is it 6 of one and a half dozen of the other? Curious as to the pros and cons. Mike
