I agree with this message.
I think having the ability to recharge the Bookport is fine.  However,
if I'm on a plane or a bus or a train I would love to simply be able to
pop in some non-rechargeable batteries and go on with my reading.

As I mentioned in another post, there more occasions than might be
apparent 
when a person can be away from either an electrical outlet or a
computer. I 
once had a device that had a rechargeable battery pack that could be
removed 
and replaced with regular accoline batteries. If you should decide to go
to 
some kind of recharging system, I hope that you will consider the idea
of a 
choice.
