Hello Walt,
My bookport is one of the ones which will not function properly when other
usb devices are connected to the computer. Therefore I would have to
disconnect my usb printer/scanner/copier and reader writer every time i
wanted to use the usb cable to power it. As you know I am all for some
form of external power for the bookport. This would save wear and tear on
the batteries as well as more frequent replacement costs. Most of my
reading is used at one location. True, I do want to retain the batteries
for use when I am not in my apartment, but this is not my primary need.
