That's why I leave what I do to proofers. I try to get the text and paragraphing right, delete headers, and happily leave the rest to those who understand this stuff. Hale the proofers.

Proofreaders who started when I did, about 18 months ago, did an exercise that was scored to be "hired." Part of that exercise had us change the book title to 20-point and put it onone line, then change the author's name to 18-point. I think that's where that thought came from. I did it for a year or more as a scanner.
