I did download it. Thanks. For some reason, the file will not open on my braillenote. I am going to try another way of loading the file on to the braillenote and will report results back. I notice the OReily books give my braillenote trouble for some reason. Comments anyone?

Elizabeth,

If you are looking for a tutorial on Word 2003, then try downloading the
following book fromBookshare:

Word 2003 Personal Trainer

I'm not sure if this is an O'Reilly book or not. I suspect that it isn't
because the title mentions Custom Guide, but Personal Trainer is one of the
series that O'Reilly publishes, so maybe it is after all. The Outlook 2003
Personal Trainer which is available on Bookshare is one of the O'Reilly
books, and I suspect the ones for Excel and Access are as well.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but you might as well give it a
try.

Many of us on this list
share occasional feelings of being frustrated around our
disability. Equipment and software can be expensive. Transportation for
those of us who do not drive is deplorable in this country. Both these
factors impact the lives of disabled people in many ways -- socially, in
how we make a living and often they take a toll on our mood.

One of the things which is so valuable about bookshare and about this
volunteer list is that both are examples of groups of us coming together
and creating something which benefits all of us.

We also speak about day to day things on this list. One of the things we
all can do is learn to use the tools we DO have while attempting to acquire
new ones. Believe me, I know how important it is to go for all those new
useful pieces of technology. I also know how valuable it is to learn to
use the stuff I already have.

I am personally committing myself to learn to use products I have had for
ages and use in a haphazard basis. I plan to do my best to contact the
manufacturers and investigate available tutorials and learning
resources. If folks want them, I can give them to you off list.

The list of things I have and need to use better includes Word, Excel, and
of course my screen reader (blush). Folks can benefit from learning better
use of JAWS ZOOMTEXT and Window--eyes.

Does anybody know of tutorials specifically about Word 2003 and Window-eyes?

E.
