I just want to second the great job of an OpticBook, although we just got an upgrade from the 3600 to the 3800 and for nearly the same price, if you can swing it, the improvement in speed is amazing. I am working on a Mac in boot camp and was having a known lamp problem and the patch did not work on my hardware, causing a wait at startup that very few people have with the patch. Can't go wrong with either the OpticBook 3600 or 3800, though! It's between $200.00 and $300.00. You can put the books right on the edge and scan very easily with it in one-page mode or do two pages at a time if it's a paperback. I will need to buy a scanner. Which ones work best?
