I'd like to contribute to this thread. If I were you, I'd consider purchasing the plustek 3800 which is the replacement for the 3600 which has been out for quite a number of years now. The 3800 is faster, better, etc. and is about the same price that the 3600 was. I believe it installs the same way the 3600 does but I might be mistaken on this and someone else can chime in on that. -----Original Message----- From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Christina Sent: Saturday, July 07, 2012 11:21 AM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: What type of scanner do I need Hi, Netta. It's from Plustek but I bought it on Amazon. I think Tiger... Or is it called Tiger Direct? Also sells it. If you go to Plustek's website, they might also have a list of venders. I bought mine a few years ago so there may be more companies that sell it now. I believe the website is www.plustek.com HTH, Christina -----Original Message----- From: bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:bksvol-discuss-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Dornetta Sent: Saturday, July 07, 2012 12:07 PM To: bksvol-discuss@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [bksvol-discuss] Re: What type of scanner do I need Christina, I just answered her question in a previous email before this one came in. So now, my question is where or rather what company makes that one? I have Open Book and a Epison but for the life of me, my scans are aweful and I cannot figure out to use the dang thang so being the sometimes wasteful person, I just want to throw or sale this one along with software and get one that does not have a tremendous learning curve. I know shameful but I have been trying to figure this dang scanning stuff out for about 2 years. :-( Netta "Just because you are blind does not mean you lack vision"-Stevie Wonder To unsubscribe from this list send a blank Email to bksvol-discuss-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx put the word 'unsubscribe' by itself in the subject line.
