In my case it's my shoulder. I have had pain in my shoulder before, and get it
from other things like shoulder purses, which I don't use any more, and bra
straps, but scanning and pressing down on the books makes it worse, which is my
I now validate and don't scan, except for pages for people.
Also, I switched from the kind of mouse one moves on a pad to what is called an
Orbit optical mouse, because moving the mouse also caused shoulder pain.
But elbow pain, no. I only got that from tennis, smile.
