Arnica is a cream that helps with bruising as well if you apply it immediately.
You can also take tablets....its an herb.

Sombre pain releif cooling gel is also a good product that is natural and will help.
I use it in my massage practice.

Hello everyone. In reading this post I'm reminded of a cream that's called Arnika. I'll bget the right spelling from my sighted husband later. I use it whenever my kiropractor works on me. I tend to bruise easily. I have a friend whose a dancer and she told me that they all use it after hours of swing dancing because it helps relieve pain. It's a natural remedy and you can find it at a store called the Vitamin Shoppe or Whole Foods. I hope this helps.

That made me laugh, too.

The other problem with taking any analgesic, like Tylenol or iboprofin of aspirin, steadily for any length of time is that it can cause other problems, supposedly, according to doctors, e.g., aspirin with the stomach, tylenol with, I think, the kidneys--can't remember about ibuprofin. And to be effective one might have to take more and more.

My doctor a long time ago said to take Tylenol for the arthritic pains. I thought it strange since that drug doesn't affect inflamation like aspirin and ibuprofin, but it does make the pain go away. I also rub on, when needed, capsaizin--it might burn at first but after regular use one doesn't even feel it on the skin but it does work--or, depending on the severit of pain and if it hasn't gone away in a day or two, Salon Pas patches.

I think if you stay away from scanning for a while, as you plan to do, and then when you go back to it wear the elbow brace and only do a little scanning at a time, you should be o.k. And maybe try a different position, e.g., if you're bending your elbow, maybe keep your arm straight on the page or binding an press with the arm rather than the hand.

I have to laugh since the top of the first sheet
says "no
scanning for six, (6), weeks." Yet I couldn't read
the sheets without
scanning them. Lol! I'll be giggling about that one for
awhile.
