Thanks Judy. I'll look in open book and find a book that I think was
accepted.

This is just me being a little snarky here, but I just looked at the prices
they charge for this product, and with that kind of money involved you'd
think they'd ask "how high" if a user who purchased their product asked them
to jump. Sheesh.

Larry, if you think it might be any help, send me a couple of page images
from a book that got rejected, as well as a couple of page images from a
book that didn't. It might be something in the way the printed book is
formatted on the printed page that makes it harder for the OCRing software
to recognize paragraph breaks.

I think I've had this situation happen to me as swell. I have submitted
several books with open book 9 and had them go through fine and I, like you,
don't know why some books apparently paragraph just fine and others do not.
Freedom doesn't seem too willing to help in this matter.

Man, have I ever experienced it. I scan two pages at a time and then proof
each two pages before going on to the next two pages. The way I proof it,
though, is to just set it on continuous read and listen for any scannos. I
don't even notice any missing paragraph breaks and I don't know about them
until my book is rejected. I can only say that this happens with some books
and not others and I don't know what the difference is between books. I
don't know any way to prevent it. I can only say that there is a very nice
volunteer who will take my rejected scans and fix the problem. I won't name
her because she may not want me to open the door for her to get inundated by
pleas to fix rejected scans. I only hope that someone knows how to prevent
this and says how, so that I can learn how myself.

Hello. I have attempted to scan several books for Bookshare using open book
version 9 and they are being rejected because of no paragraph indicators.
Has anyone experienced this issue and how did you solve it? Thanks.
