Hi all,
Larry, if you want good OCR don't look at Freedom Scientific. They
haven't upgraded OB in ages, and I suspect they aren't going to do so.
If you want good OCR use Kurzie or Docuscan Plus. I don't think
Docuscan Plus really is good for books, but it sure is good for reading
all kinds of PDF files.

I own both and have used Kurzweil for many years but find that open
book 9 renders excellent ocr results—often better than Kurzweil. That
is what I thought freedom would say and that is very disappointing to
those who invested theyr major chunk of technology bucks in an ocr package.

That is an extremely expensive solution though.
