It shouldn't change if you have saved the settings, which it sounds like you
have.

I just followed your instructions myself and found the most accurate
recognition strategy already selected. I don't think that I am having that
problem with the book I am working on right now, but, like I said, another
book might come along and the paragraph breaks will be missing again. Could
that setting change on its own from book to book? I wouldn't think so.

Hi, Larry,

I had this problem at first, but when I contacted Freedom Scientific I
received the following information, and it did solve the problem except for
one book.

I do not scan much for submission but have scanned two abooks which were
accepted by Bookshare and contained all the paragraph breaks.

Try using a different stradegy with the instructions below:

While in the OpenBook(tm) scanning and reading software

1. Pull up the settings menu "alt+g"

2. Arrow down to work flow settings and hit enter

3. Tab over to work flow modify... button and hit enter

4. Perform the control+tab command to get to the process page

5. You should be positioned on: recognition, use default recognition. If
this item

is checked here, press the spacebar to uncheck this item

6. Tab to: recognition stradegy

7. Use your arrow keys to select: most accurate and hit enter

Maybe this will work for you; I certainly hope so.

8. Tab to okay and hit enter

Hello. I have attempted to scan several books for Bookshare using open book
version 9 and they are being rejected because of no paragraph indicators.
Has anyone experienced this issue and how did you solve it? Thanks.
