Hi, Barbara. Unfortunately, the training center was shut down,
falling under the weight of its director's incompetency. The center
had the potential to do so much good, but the people in charge used
it as a way to scam the government and get funds they weren't using
to help people. The final straw came when during one month an
employee raped a student and another student had a life-threatening
medical emergency while the staff member in charge could not hear
and was unable to read lips to communicate. In both cases, blind
students had to leave the campus to get help for the people
involved. This brought the police in to investigate and resulted in
the closure of the center. I would have been much happier to see
the director arrested and the center opened again under new management.
