Gustavo approved more than 50 books tonight. I don't know if it's
showing up on the new books listing yet as that's only updated daily, but it

So never fear, the admin queue is decreasing again.
I don't think we need to worry about how many books are on the download list awaiting validation, because until bookshare can afford a Marissa replacement, the administrator's queuegets longer and longer. The last time I counted, whe Gustavo said he was hoping we'd reach 25,000 by the end of the year, there were 77 books awaiting approval. I just counted the new list, and now there are 153. :-) You've all been doing a wonderful job scanning and validating, but until the rules change about who can help approve, or until someone else can be hired, books just have to wait.
