I forgot to mention that the Benetech website has the new role of
Manager: Collections for hiring. Gustavo has it linked on the Volunteer Home
Page which he updated a few days ago.
The role is different from the one Jessie and Marissa have filled in the
past, but still keeps in mind managing the volunteers.

I don't think we need to worry about how many books are on the download list awaiting validation, because until bookshare can afford a Marissa replacement, the administrator's queuegets longer and longer. The last time I counted, whe Gustavo said he was hoping we'd reach 25,000 by the end of the year, there were 77 books awaiting approval. I just counted the new list, and now there are 153. :-) You've all been doing a wonderful job scanning and validating, but until the rules change about who can help approve, or until someone else can be hired, books just have to wait.
