Yes, I do have 2 rows in the table for both of the tracks. I'm still not exactly getting what you're saying. If I want to put the spoken track over the fade of the music track do I need to aline the files @ that point with the music track selected? What needs to be done with the spoken track so that all the audio is moved in to the one track? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vasundhara Raturi" <vasundhara.raturi.97@xxxxxxxxx>

I hope you will be having two rows in the table for both the tracks.
According to me, you can try to select the track in which you have
spoken. Next, if you want to keep it at the start, then select the
option of align with zero in the align tracks submenu, which lies in
the tracks menu. If you want to keep somewhere in the middle, then
usually the option is to align with cursor located in the align tracks
submenu in the track menu. For this case, you need to place the cursor
on the particular part of the track where you want to place the second
and then select the option. But, this works properly for audacity 1.3
beta version. It is different in 1.2.6.

    Hello:
Thanks so much for this list & any help which anyone is able to give me
going forward.
I have read the manual several times but I'm not able to figure out exactly
what it is that I'm doing wrong.
I am attempting to put together my first podcast. I have both the files I
intend to use. My intro music & my recorded spoken audio. I am wanting the spoken audio to come in when the music begins to fade. I've already got the file set, the music fading in the right place but I'm not exactly sure how
to place the spoken audio where I want it to go. I've tried pulling both
files in to a table, selecting all of the audio on the spoken file & pasting
it where I want it in the music track. No go.
What is the best way to make this happen? Thanks again.
