It would make sense that medical grade N2O would be a prescription, medical
grade oxygen is a prescription. I once worked for a cryogenics delivery
company and we went through the certification of the Liquid Oxygen delivery
hardware and tracking in order to be certified to deliver to bulk tanks at
Hospitals and Nursing Homes. The paperwork for those deliveries was always
the hardest part.

about the grade.
The local racing shop has 'Racing grade' for $4.5/lb.
An actual compressed air supplier is questioning which grade we
might want. Racing, Medical, or Scientific. There seems to be a
considerable variation in price.
Horror stories about consumer Methane with mercaptins, or N2O with
Sulfur abound. It seems like getting the goop off your
parts is quite difficult and incredibly noxious. If we can't get Racing
grade without the bad goop, that one is out.
Medical Grade they are saying requires a doctor or medical facility
certificate. ( "He doc, can I have a prescription for 200lbs of N2O?")
The supplier is claiming "LAW" but an attorney can't find any
reference in the state statutes to work around. (free attorney!)
Now Scientific Grade is something like four nines of purity, and
perfectly
useful, and even cheaper than the local speed shop, but still
looking for a bargain becuase I don't want to spend the extra $100 /tank.
I thought I remembered getting 'commercial grade' which was pretty
much available with a business license.
Does anyone have any experience in getting this for hyprids and such ?
