In the new Jersey training class the instructor said to raise/lower the
pressure foot so that it just touches the fabric.  In Gurnee the instructor
said to take it down to the fabric then up one click so you see just a bit
of daylight between the pressure foot and the material.  The last one seems
to work best for me.
