Katherine, by an unstable internet connection I mean, say, you're on wireless, but it keeps dropping now and again, in fact every few minutes I have to say, for no apparent reason. As a result web pages would either load slowly or not at all, files would either be downloaded as a corrupted copy or download very slowly or even not at all, e-mails would take longer to send/receive or even have problems connecting to the server in the first place, and things like that. This is what my friend has been experiencing at college. Hope that helps. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Catherine Turner" <catherineturner2000@xxxxxxxxxxx>

Hello Chris,

Thanks for the info/warning, but what do you mean by an unstable internet connection?

Catherine

Hi all,
I know this may sound blatently obvious, but I thought I'd warn you all,
thanks to a friend, that if your connection(s) are unstable, this may cause whatever antivirus you're using to Fail. My friend had to do a reinstall of
AVG Free today after discovering that some of the components were in an
undetermined state, and it turned out that she had lots of viruses which AVG failed to pick up before the reinstall. I do not want this to happen to you,
so this is why I'm sending the warning out. Thanks for reading!
