A few months ago I bought one like that in Sainsburys for £34.
It has no maker I D on it.

I was recently looking for a mini oven and a friend told me about a
Morphy Richard which was in the Argos sale for £50.
I looked on Amazon and there were two sellers one for £164 the other
£152 so it was off to Argos.
I asked the man when the oven came down to open it and I had a really
good look at the controls.
It's very neat with just the grill and convection oven.
3 dials for temp, mode and a one hour timer.
No trouble at all using it.
If at all possible we will buy products that are not adapted for V I people.

Yes, Derek, same here plus cooker. You simply have to make sure that
the utilities you buy are going to be usable without sight before you
buy them. You need to take someone with you when you are
testing/checking them out or arrange for a helpful sales assistant to
do this, preferably in advance of going.

Just to add!
many people often believe can not use standard kitchen equipment.

It is perfectly possible to use, without sight,
and without any kind of adaptions certain microwaves
and even washing machines.

I can use my washing machine without sight,
and without it having any kind of markings.

I can use my microwave, without it having speech or markings

Why avoid the Cobolt one? I think it all depends on what you want to
use it for. You can't do seconds on a basic dial one. I have used
the Cobolt one and know quite a few people with them and they think
they are great.

Same goes for us, just avoid the Cobolt one if at all possible.

Hi Alistair

Our microwave has two dials, one for power settings, and the
other to time your cooking. It cost about 60 quid and has no bells
and whistles apart from the ping that tells you when the timer has
stopped. I can't remember the make, but it is one of those cheap and
cheerful chappies. We don't use it much so didn't want to pay too
much. Does the job!

Hi folks, our trusty and long serving daewoo finally gave up
the ghost and we are now in the market for a new micro wave. We would
quite like a combi but if not as long as it is accessible and not
entirely touch operated we will look at it, any suggestions? Did look
at the talking microwave on the RNIB site but seems a bit on the
expensive side for a 800w oven. why is everything so bloody
inaccessible these days! touch this, touch that! drives me nuts!
