Hi Jo

Our talking microwave only lasted five years with very little use, and given
the fact we only wanted something basic, felt it was too much to pay for
another one of those.

Kind Regards,

Why avoid the Cobolt one? I think it all depends on what you want to use it
for. You can't do seconds on a basic dial one. I have used the Cobolt one
and know quite a few people with them and they think they are great.

Same goes for us, just avoid the Cobolt one if at all possible.

Hi Alistair

Our microwave has two dials, one for power settings, and the other to time
your cooking. It cost about 60 quid and has no bells and whistles apart
from the ping that tells you when the timer has stopped. I can't remember
the make, but it is one of those cheap and cheerful chappies. We don't use
it much so didn't want to pay too much. Does the job!

Hi folks, our trusty and long serving daewoo finally gave up the ghost and
we are now in the market for a new micro wave. We would quite like a combi
but if not as long as it is accessible and not entirely touch operated we
will look at it, any suggestions? Did look at the talking microwave on the
RNIB site but seems a bit on the expensive side for a 800w oven. why is
everything so bloody inaccessible these days! touch this, touch that! drives
me nuts!
