Hi Eleanor, No, it works via wireless. SymSMB connects to your wireless home network, and then you can map your phone, or any folder on your phone, as a drive. So, I have my phone memory on drive M, and my memory card on drive N. The syntax for mapping drives goes something like this: \\ComputerName\share\ or \\ComputerIP\share\ So, my phone shows up on my network with the IP address 192.168.1.5, and I have created a share on the phone in SymSMB called MemoryCard. So, I go into 'My Computer', select 'Map Network Drive' from the tools menu, and choose drive N. I then type \\192.168.1.5\MemoryCard\ in the edit field, hit OK and its done! Any time my phone is connected to my wireless network, I will be able to access it from the PC. So, my phone could be down stares, or even left in the car outside and I could still access it.
