Thanks Steve. I'll put up with my Vodafone Talks for the moment but I do notice the difference between it and the one I got from you.

Hi Eleanor,

I can't answer the question about whether you will be able to upgrade to the next version for free, as that is up to Nuance. But if you want to upgrade
from Talks Standard to Premium it is 50 pounds.

All the best

Steve

Yes Steve I understand that principle now but I am not sure I want to set
defaults.

I got the Fring thing sorted thank you. It is different from when you did
it 2 years ago. It sends me a text message and then from my phone I set it
up. Thank you for your help there too.

Now someone was saying to me about my Talks Standard which is the Vodafone
one and the Talks Premium. If I wanted to upgrade the Vodafone one though,
I'd have to pay another 50 pounds, isn't that the case Steve. I heard
discussions about when the next edition/version of Talks would come out,
will I be able to upgrade to it free from the Talks I purchased from you?

Hi Eleanor,

You need to go to Add Detail to add mobiles and other numbers to an
existing
contact.

All the best

Steve

Well Amro
I am looking at this again. I also noted Steve's comment re Clive's
suggestions. Bow I appreciate all 3 of you taking time to assist me.
Think

is if I set defaults then that too can have its drawbacks in that I will
want to use call, text and e-mail. Where I am having the problem is that

I

want to add e-mail addresses. Now that is fine if I receive an e-mail
from
someone I can save their e-mail address (I discovered) but for those that
have not yet responded which I have not accessed yet through my mobile. I want to add them in and here is wher I get confused. I thought I would go
to Edit but that does not allow me to put in an e-mail address. I also
have

this problem where I have someone's mobile and then I get a landline
number
for them, I cannot put in via Edit either. This ends up with me having
them

in twice, onece mobile and once landline. I lshould not have to do that.

Eleanor, go to Contacts, open the contact you need to configure by
selecting it, open the Options menu (key one), arrow down to Defaults,
select it and you can specify what defaults are used for that contact
from

there such as phone number, text message number, email address etc.

Cheers,
Amro

Clive I tried this actually and then I went to send an e-mail and for
instance it kept saying Rosie Mobile when I wanted it to say Rosie
E-mail. I had no way of checking if it was going to be her mobile or
e-mail that would come up because as I say it insisted on Rosie Mobile.

Hello Eleanor,

Glad to hear you have e-mail set up on your phone.

When editing a contact, choose edit and then you need to go into
options

again. You can quickly do this by pressing the joystick in. The first
option is Add Detail. Select this and you can choose one from the
list,

which is quite long, so arrow down to E-mail. You can add as many
details to a contact as you wish.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes,

Clive Pallett
