Carl,Also, MODE CON gives 80 columns but 300 lines! The XyWrite screen has 25 lines, 3 for CL, Prompt, and Ruler, then 22 lines of text. The last line of text I see begins: "USB printer." VA/NV $SL gives 25 lines. I thought it was supposed to be 24, but I guess I'm mis-remembering. Is the 300 lines something I should change or worry at all about?
Thanks for another interesting and potentially valuable program. --Harry

Probably specific to my system, but I'm just asking . . > . FW. No doubt because your DOS screen dimensions are different from XyWrite's default screen length and screen width settings (SL and SW). You can fix it by changing the Xy defaults to correspond to your DOS settings. Command MODE CON at the DOS prompt to see your screen dimensions (Lines = Screen Length in XyWrite, Columns = Screen Width). Then, in XyWrite, command D SL=xx and D SW=yy, where xx and yy and the DOS values. -- Carl Distefano cld@xxxxxxxxxx
