Uniprint Gateway is specifically designed for Thin Clients. Ive had a brief
look and it looks ok
We use Standard Uniprint server as well, and that works fine

Someone else mentioned ThinPrint and we used this precisely to reduce the size
of print jobs. We were getting A3 CAD drawings printing out over a satellite
link down to 15 seconds or so. Before ThinPrint, they were taking minutes to
print.
Haven’t looked at it for a while though, I think there are lots of new features
in the app.

Well I did some testing with Screwdrivers awhile back and it didnt work right
with our check printing solution. As far as the size of spool jobs It really
hasn't been an issue overall as far as I can tell. Our apps primarily use
active reports or unfortunately Crystal reports to generate the documents that
users print.

I endorse using Simplify/Screwdrivers. We installed it 4 years ago now
and never looked back. We've got HP's, Xerox multifunctions, Lexmarks,
and who knows what else out in the remote locations. It's been nothing
but smooth for us!

For those who use the universal driver, how do you guys get around large
spool files going over your WAN (assuming the Print Server and Citrix
Servers are across the WAN from your clients). We've had issues where
PDF files spool to 150Mb and you can imagine the issues this causes as
it traverses over a WAN.
We are looking at using Screwdrivers or possibly using the Universal
Driver with an indirect Printer Policy to get around this.
Has anyone else experienced this issue?

there. They are host-based.

FOr the most part I love the new Universal printer, but even with that
I
am encountering various printers that do not print. Primarily I am
having
trouble with various Lexmark printers and the HP LaserJet 1022.
Currently by citrix policy I enforce universal driver for all printers,
but I am looking at creating an exemption policy for those users that
are
having trouble with printing and trying to setup a mapping for those
paticular models that are giving me fits.
ANy ideas on the best way to go about that or what drivers I should use?
I know currently there are issues with the Lexmark X3550, Lexmark T520,
and HP laserJet 1022
Of course I also have issues with various users running Mcaffee and its
printer issues are always fun.
